ABOUT THE BOOK
This book acquaints children with the practice of yoga. Using simple rhyme, it introduces young readers to many yoga asanas, their movements and breathing techniques, and helps connect them to nature.SNAPSHOT REVIEW
- A beautifully produced book about yoga for youngsters. Each asana is explained in detail using rhyme, while an additional line of explanatory text, aimed at parents, teachers and other adult readers, elaborates how the asana helps us.
- Alankrita’s delightful illustrations are a joy to behold. Children are sure to love the book if only to stare at the colourful pictures.
- There are a few factual glitches — for example, in Sarpasana, the pose itself has errors; there is a discrepancy in the text and image in Setubandhasana; and the Humming Bee pose is wrongly spelt as Brahmari, whereas it should be Bhramari.
- The cover is a bit difficult to decipher unless you know the book is on yoga.
