ABOUT THE BOOKPeanut used to love the piano. But now it’s a big old monster that comes with lessons, exams and Moonish Sir’s scolding, and she’s had enough of it. But is this a battle she wants to win?
- The cycle of approaching a new activity with enthusiasm and then losing drive and interest is a theme that many children and parents will identify with.
- There are some funny moments in the book – and life lessons too. Be careful what you wish for – sometimes we don’t know what we want till it is taken away from us. There’s a lesson for both kids and grown-ups in there.
- Shreya Sen’s illustrations are always fun. The antics of Peanut and her siblings Pickle and Papad are depicted in delightful fashion.
- This particular hOle book is somehow not as engaging as one has come to expect of the books in this series. The story appears to be much wordier than usual and the illustrations don’t make use of the holes.
